Crankbrothers' second generation of Stamp 1 MTB pedals, the Stamp 1 Gen 2, boast a redesigned concave pedal profile that enhances grip and stability, along with an upgraded internal bushing and spindle design borrowed from their proven Stamp 7 pedals. These pedals feature 10 robust and replaceable one-piece pins per side, and a reinforced composite body construction, resulting in a lightweight design of 321g per pair (Stamp Small) and 384g per pair (Stamp Large). Backed by a 5-Year Warranty, these versatile pedals are well-suited for a variety of riding styles, including MTB, BMX, City/Commuting, and Gravel.
The redesigned pedal body measures 15.5mm at the edges and 13.5mm at the center, creating a 1mm-per-side concavity that cradles the rider's foot and improves stability. This concave shape allows all 10 of the strong, one-piece pins to grip the shoe's outsole, providing excellent traction and reducing the risk of pedal-slips, thereby enhancing the rider's overall safety and confidence.
To further improve durability, the Stamp 1 Gen 2 features upgraded internal components, including premium quality Igus bearings and a seal system, as well as a chromoly steel spindle borrowed from the pro-level Stamp 7 pedals. The pedal body is constructed from a durable, reinforced composite material, and all Stamp pedals are fully serviceable with an available refresh kit. The one-piece pin design allows long pins to be installed through the entirety of the pedal body.
For optimal shoe-to-pedal interface, the Stamp 1 Gen 2 is available in two size-specific options: the Small (100mm x 100mm platform) recommended for shoe sizes 5-10 (US M), and the Large (111mm x 114mm platform) recommended for shoe sizes 10-15 (US M).
